We welcome non-commercial photograph submissions to Computer Chair Traveler. We want to help you share your scenic pictures with the world. We are seeking a group or series of photographs showing a particular place or event. The best examples of these are the Mount Vernon photographs and the Historic Philadelphia photographs. We want your submissions even if you don't have sixty photographs showing a particular place or event.

You can either e-mail your digital photographs, or mail your photographs to us and we'll scan them and return them to you at our expense.

E-mail Submissions

• Attach one photograph per e-mail, please.
• Please write the location where the photograph was taken, and a description about the photograph in the body of the e-mail
• All photographs remain the property of the submitter, and the submitter holds all copyrights to the photographs.
• Use this e-mail link to bring up an e-mail screen for your photograph submission.
• We would like to acknowledge your submissions. The privacy of submitters that want to remain anonymous will be respected. An example would look something like this:

  Gilbert Le Blanc of Edgewood Maryland, submitted the photographs from the Ozark Folk Center in Arkansas.

Postal Submissions

If you do not have access to a scanner, and would like to have us scan your photographs and post them, mail your photographs to:

Your photographs will be mailed back to you at our expense a few days after they're scanned.  If you include an e-mail address, we'll e-mail you and let you know the same day we mail the photographs back to you.

Photograph Scanning Details

Most of the photographs posted on the site by us were taken with a 35mm camera, and developed as 4" x 6" prints.  We scanned them with a resolution of 150 dots per inch, and reduced the pictures to 75% of their original size.  This size picture seems to have the best balance of size and detail. Newer pictures were taken with a digital camera and reduced so as to be somewhat viewable with a 640 x 480 resolution monitor. The optimal monitor resolution for viewing the photographs on this site is 1024 x 768.
